OUR FOUNDER'S STORY
"As an introvert passionate about social change, I struggled to find ways to engage in activism that didn't exhaust me or require me to change who I was just to fit the box of what people think an "activist" or creating change must look like."
Raquel Benjamin is an artist, designer, and founder of MYSILENTPROTEST. After being burnt out from witnessing and repeating herself about various social injustices and inequities, Raquel needed an outlet to express her frustrations and bring awareness to social causes that didn't always require her to speak. To remedy this and cope with her feelings and frustrations about injustice, Raquel started writing and designing her own creative slogans and social commentaries on clothing as the outlet to send her messages and make her voice heard.
